We are more than a

Veterinary Hospital

We are excited to announce the opening of Mountain View Animal Hospital by local veterinarian, Dr. John DeLandtsheer. Working and living in this town his entire life, Dr. DeLandtsheer has seen first-hand, the need to create an unparalleled space for the pets of Big Bear.

From specialized hospital care to a place where you can drop off your dog for the day and hit the slopes or cruise the lake. Mountain View Animal Hospital is a highly developed veterinary facility in the heart of Big Bear. We offer comprehensive services in medicine, as well as overnight boarding, daycare for your dogs, and bathing so that your pets are squeaky clean and smelling fresh!

Please click on the tabs above to look at each department, then click to book an appointment or call and speak with one of our team members. We trust that you will find everything you need here at Mountain View Animal Hospital.

Pet Boarding & Daycare

Don’t leave your pet home alone! They want to have fun too! At Mountain View Animal Hospital we offer pet boarding and dog daycare. All participants must be up to date on all necessary vaccine requirements. Please be sure to make an appointment for any vaccines that may be needed.

Being that we are a hospital, all our boarding and daycare is considered Medical Boarding and Medical Daycare.

This should give you peace of mind when leaving your pet in our care. We know how to take care of your pets inside and out!

Bathing

Don’t you feel better after a bath? There’s nothing like the feel of being squeaky clean. And for our pets it’s even more important, not just for the health of their skin, but because they will certainly get more cuddles from you when they are freshly bathed and silky soft.

Let us treat your pets to a warm sudsy, bubble bath, clean their ears and trim the toenails. Give them a day at the spa, they deserve it, you deserve it too!

All Visitors - Please Beware!

Here in Big Bear, we have predators abound! We have bears, coyotes, mountain lions, red tail hawks, eagles, bobcats and more!

Please always have your dogs on leash, and do not release in your backyard unattended. Fences do not keep out these predators.
Please always leash your pets!
